I’ve gotten into a really bad habit over the past couple of years. I shoot only for clients and never take the time to pick up my camera just for me. For one thing, Claire used to HATE for me to take her picture, and it just wasn’t fun for either of us. And sometimes I had started to feel like my camera was only associated with work, and to use it while I was supposed to be relaxing kind of defeated the purpose.
So I’m trying to break myself of this a little bit. Last week when Claire was on spring break, I took a day off from work just to shoot for myself (and play with her.) I need to remind myself to do this every few weeks at least.
Claire turned five in February. She is so sweet and so grown-up. And very, very silly. I love her so.
Even though she lets me take her picture now, she tends to want to make a face like this approximately every other photo.
