Happy first birthday to Rowan, one of the cutest and sweetest babies I’ve had the pleasure to photograph! I’ve gotten to watch him grow from a sleepy, cuddly newborn to a smiley, happy baby to a fun, active toddler. He was thrilled to pieces with his birthday cupcake. And I was thrilled to finally get to use the red velvet chair I got at a yard sale for $10. How cool is that?

Meet my new nephew, Ty! He’s my sister’s new addition, and we are so happy to welcome the first boy into our branch of the family tree! I have more pictures to share later, but I wanted to get a quick sneak peek up so that Salli can show him off. He looks so much like his big sister Avery did when she was a newborn.

Love you already, Ty-ty!

As the mom of a little girl with stick-straight hair, it always tickles me to see little girls with such beautiful curls. Allie’s ringlets are just so perfect and sweet. (And her pouty face is pretty cute, too!)

One of the best things about being a photographer is getting to watch families grow and change in just a few years. I can’t believe it’s been almost four years since I shot Tom and Shelly’s engagement pictures and wedding, and now they have a beautiful one-year-old daughter! They don’t live in town anymore, so it was a special treat that I got to see them when they came to visit. Holland is absolutely precious…13 months old and walking everywhere.

Thanks, Tom and Shelly! It was so great to see you.

This session was a trip down memory lane. James, the older son, was the very first baby I ever photographed (besides Claire, of course!) He was six months old at the time, and now he’s five and a half and just started kindergarten. Time sure does fly. His little brother John is almost two and I could just eat him up, too. Ally Carol is finally here! I feel like we’ve been waiting forever to meet my cousin’s precious baby girl. She is just under two weeks old and she is perfect. After much thought, I have decided that she looks like her mama while she’s awake and her daddy when she’s sleeping. Either way, she’s beautiful. Love you guys, and I’m so happy for your family. Ally Carol is a lucky girl to have you as parents (and me as a cousin. Ha!)

Miss Khloe sure has changed since her newborn session, but she’s still as pretty as ever! She’s four months old now and she thinks she’s a big girl, trying to sit up and look around. She didn’t want to crack a smile, but that’s okay since her serious look is awfully cute.

Such a fun session! For Morgan’s senior pictures, we started at his house and got a few in there with his sister and their dog. Then we headed out to the golf course for some action shots. Despite the sweltering heat (even at 7:00!), it was fun to ride around the course and watch Morgan golf. Have a great senior year, Morgan!

Coen is back for more with his one year pictures! He’s lost his baby mohawk that he rocked at our last session, but that just means that he looks like a big boy now. He is a mess…sweet and smiley and curious. I can’t believe he’s already big enough to be walking around!

Out with the old and in with the new! Just a couple of weeks after my last 2010 senior session, here’s my first 2011 senior shoot. Brooke’s got it all together. She hasn’t even started her senior year, but she’s already been accepted at college with a softball scholarship. How awesome is that? And she’s gorgeous to top it all off!
