Happy first birthday to Rowan, one of the cutest and sweetest babies I’ve had the pleasure to photograph! I’ve gotten to watch him grow from a sleepy, cuddly newborn to a smiley, happy baby to a fun, active toddler. He was thrilled to pieces with his birthday cupcake. And I was thrilled to finally get to use the red velvet chair I got at a yard sale for $10. How cool is that?
Meet my new nephew, Ty! He’s my sister’s new addition, and we are so happy to welcome the first boy into our branch of the family tree! I have more pictures to share later, but I wanted to get a quick sneak peek up so that Salli can show him off. He looks so much like his big sister Avery did when she was a newborn.
Love you already, Ty-ty!

As the mom of a little girl with stick-straight hair, it always tickles me to see little girls with such beautiful curls. Allie’s ringlets are just so perfect and sweet. (And her pouty face is pretty cute, too!)

One of the best things about being a photographer is getting to watch families grow and change in just a few years. I can’t believe it’s been almost four years since I shot Tom and Shelly’s engagement pictures and wedding, and now they have a beautiful one-year-old daughter! They don’t live in town anymore, so it was a special treat that I got to see them when they came to visit. Holland is absolutely precious…13 months old and walking everywhere.

This session was a trip down memory lane. James, the older son, was the very first baby I ever photographed (besides Claire, of course!) He was six months old at the time, and now he’s five and a half and just started kindergarten. Time sure does fly. His little brother John is almost two and I could just eat him up, too. Hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek!
